Having grown up on a farm in Templeboy in West Sligo, Padraig gained an understanding of agriculture and livestock from a young age.
He started his apprenticeship in Sligo town and continued his journey in Sydney and London, where he gained valuable knowledge and expertise in the industry.
Howley’s Family Butchers was established in Lusk, Co. Dublin in 1991, which quickly gained a reputation for quality and value throughout North County Dublin.

Our beef, lamb and pork is purchased directly from farmers using the traditional selection process, on Hoof. Our meat is then processed by our skilled craft butchers using time honoured methods of dry aging, hanging, maturing and curing to ensure that it reaches its richest and fullest flavour possible, which sets us apart from supermarkets and other factory produced meat suppliers.
We have a wide selection of homemade products including our legendary Smokey Joe 6oz beef burger, turkey burgers, meatballs, stir fries to name but a few.
